Hong Zhang is a Professional Engineer and holds a Master's degree in Mining Engineering from McGill University. He has 20 years of mining engineering experience in the United States, Canada, and China. He has experience in the open pit mine planning as a senior engineer at the Freeport flagship U.S. Morenci mine, and underground short term mine planning in BC. He participated in the feasibility study of three world-class underground mining projects as a consulting engineer which includes, BHP Billiton Jansen Potash Project Feasibility Study, Rio Tinto world-class OT copper and gold mine project LOM study, and Newmont Hope Bay gold Project underground mining study. He is an expert on open pit, underground mine planning, mine production management, mining project evaluation, and due diligence study.
